Fall Hair Trends

It is still WAY too hot in Nashville to think about Fall too much ( Pumpkin EVERYTHING is Coming soon! ) I love as the seasons change so do the hair trends! Different methods of Balayage are still going strong and I am seeing a lot more high contrast looks which I love. The depth from a melted root is perfect for Fall and lower maintenance. That way you can still enjoy brightness in the mid length and ends and a pop of light around your face ( also known as The Money Piece.) Of course red tones are always fabulous in the fall as well. Today I’m going to spotlight some of my favorite artist on Instagram and their gorgeous color work! Be sure to check out their pages in the link above each photo!

Going into fall tones tend to get richer and softer. But that totally doesn’t mean you have to go “dark.” You can still do ash tones and brighter blonde but you’ll want to add more depth by either shadowing further down at the root, adding lowlights, or toning for richness for extra dimension. These looks can take several sessions depending on how well your hair colors and the previous colors you have underneath can effect your final lifting level. Keep in mind it may take two to three appointments to achieve a level of depth and brightness you want. In very rare occasions it can take one, but it’s safer to do these looks over time.

Here are some spotlights on these insanely gorgeous looks! BRAVO!

Let’s chat about favorite hair products!

Honestly, I’ve never stuck to one brand all these years! The cosmetology school I went to was a Redken school. When I worked in salons I used Matrix, Logics, and Wella. Now I’m making it back to Redken again!

I’ll round up my favorites over the last few years for you! And by all means if you highly suggest a product line let me know. I’m always open to trying new things!

Favorite Shampoos and Conditioners

-Biolage-

Tried and true I always go back to! It doesn’t build up and they have Color Last, Hydra Source, Volume Bloom, and more! The mask are always amazing! If you are more ingredient conscious or go for more organic hair care, the new R.A.W. line is amazing! They have styling products as well. It’s sulfate, silicone and paraben free.

Be sure to Always purchase salon products from a salon or licensed retailer. This is true for all professional hair care products to ensure their safety and quality.

Favorite Hair Spray-

Kenra 25 Hair Spray. It’s won Favorite hairspray from hairstylist year after year for a reason. It’s my bride go to hair spray! It holds without the heaviness and doesn’t flake.

Favorite Dry Shampoo-

-Batiste-

Let’s be real. Dry shampoo is a mom’s BFF. Who has time to shampoo and dry their hair every day? I love that it comes in tinted shades. Especially the brunette! White powdered hair be gone!

Favorite Curling Iron-

-Hot Tools-

What can I say… I’ve used these forever. There are so many popular new Curling irons on the market. I guess I need to branch out…. ha ha. But this little beauty last forever and keeps curls that last. I usually use the one inch and brush it out with a “Wet Brush.” If you don’t have one of those for detangling, you are seriously missing out.

That’ll do it for this product round up! I’ll share my favorite styling products soon.

My Story

Welcome to my Beauty Blog!

Before we really dive in here, I thought it would be a great time to share a little bit about myself and my heart on why I love what I do. I have always been a Tennessee girl. I grew up in Memphis (….. yes, I love J.T.) and my love for all things beauty began from taking Cosmetologist in high school. They should offer this technical program at every school, honestly! It saved me. I was a terrible student (sorry Mom and Dad) so realizing my artistic side was filled and channeled by doing hair and makeup started a passion within me. There is something so fulfilling about seeing a transformation right before your eyes! It truly never gets old.

I became a licensed Cosmetologist in 2005 and shortly after I made the big move to Nashville at 20. I can’t believe I have been here this long! I built a wonderful clientele through the years and have made precious friendships. There really is a special bond that comes with playing this role in someone’s life. To be there for them, listen, and help them be their best selves is so wonderful. I’ve done a lot of Nashville weddings through the years which is such a privilege and helping the bride or bridal party feel their absolute best is a joy. On the other hand I absolutely love the art of hair coloring. The freedom you have to transform is limitless. The fact that you can continue to grow with further education is so fun! With social media now, there are such broad learning tools and inspiration with so many talented artists out there.

I got married to my awesome hunk of a husband, Michael, in 2013 and after years of trying and hardships we were blessed with our twins in December of 2016 the week of Christmas. THEY ARE THE BEST. I mean having boy girl twins is Amazing. I cannot imagine our lives without them. Needless to say, I took a break from working since that first year was quite busy and I am thrilled to be back and starting a new chapter!

I love sharing my favorite beauty products and I love anything that helps simplify my routine. Earlier this year I joined as a LashLiner affiliate because I LOVED the idea of easy Lashes. Soon after, they opened up enrollment for their new Affiliate program called Tori Belle, and I was ALL IN. I joined so fast I was the 28th Founding Affiliate! Ha! I mean I didn’t even blink about deciding to join. Fast forward to now and I have been Blown away at the growth of our new company and I am SO Blessed to have a team of incredible ladies from all over the USA!

I cannot wait to share with you along this new journey of being a Founding Affiliate with Tori Belle. I can’t imagine where we will be a year from now too! You can check out my post here to read more about our Booming company.
