The moment I saw her in Dallas, I was like “OK I NEED THESE STAT.”

I know what you are thinking… I am not sure I can do these.

Let me stop you right there sister… the goal of these Lashes is to help ALL women feel confident EVEN if you are not beauty savvy.

One of our top leaders Kim got to try them out early and here is what she shared! LOVE!

“I was never a lash extension person. I’m simple, crunchy & organic. But dang these take me 10 minutes to do & they last! They’re revolutionary to the beauty industry. Remember those nail strips that BLEW UP & people who never did their nails suddenly did their nails?? Yeah these are those—for your eyes. They’re not strips. They’re weightless. Get ready friends. Business minds, be a visionary—the time is now. Don’t look back and wish you had. Ready to rock and roll.” – Kim Huberty

I mean look how STUNNING they look below and I love what she shared. You don’t have to be a beauty guru to wear our new DIY line! Will it take a little practice? Sure! But once you have these on you will feel like taking on the World!

How to make a DIY Coffee Filter backdrop

It’s time to get crafty yall! I used to do things like this all the time….before twins. But here we are, and now I have built in help! LOL.

The Inspiration….

I was OBSESSED with the displays at Anthropologie. They were so creative and lovely. After searching some ideas I decided to go a DIY route with coffee filters.

I was wanting to create something to have on the wall behind my desk for some texture/color for videos ect, so I went to Target and put on my thinking cap. Who knew…that cap still works.

The Supplies

The base of the ombre flower back drop – Elmer’s Tri-Fold Foam Display Board

Coffee Filters

market pantry basket filters

I had to go back to get more…. BUT I probably needed 10 total. You do not have to do them as tightly together as I did too.

Hot Glue Gun + Glue Sticks

I am sure you know this…. but don’t let your kiddos near this thing. lol.

Double Sided Tape for hanging

The Pink Paint

I got 3 pinks, but I ended up using the brightest one to show up well over the brown tone.

How to make the Backdrop

Seperate the coffee filters and simply bunch the bottom inch. It’s quicker to do a bunch at once and glue a line at a time. If you have willing kiddos, have them help you do this part!

Try to get the filters fairly close together and fan out. You can check and fill the gaps at the end too.

I broke this up into two days!

After you complete the board, lay it outside on some big trash bags and get your paint colors of choice ready!

I actually don’t want to recommend spraying, it was easier to gently “splash” areas you want color. The filter will soak in the color quickly, so don’t drench it.

To be honest, I was super happy with how it came out! You could do any colors you want or even do two boards if you are up to it!

I adhered it to the wall with the double sided tape and it made it a breeze to hang up!

It’s fun to enjoy something you made, especially when it’s something you can include your little ones on!

Have a wonderful weekend & Tell me what you think too and if you make one!

DIY Beauty Treatments

Hey beauties!

I thought I would share some fun at home DIY beauty recipes to pamper yourself while we are staying inside to stay safe. Most of the ingredients you may already have, so you could make it a fun activity to do with your little ones too!

Have a good week and stay strong.

Coffee Lip Scrub

-2 Tsp Ground Coffee

-1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil or Coconut Oil

-1 Drop of Essential Oil of Choice or Vanilla

Stir and grind the coffee and coconut oil until it’s well blended. Now add any essential oil of your choice. (Only a drop.) Take a small amount on your finger, apply to your lips, and scrub in circular motion for up to one minute. Rinse off with water and pat dry.

Coffee is a natural exfoliator which removes the dead outer surface of your lips and makes them soft! Coconut oil soothes skin and treats chapped lips naturally.

You could store your lip scrub in a small container or empty out an old container, wash it an reuse it!

Sugar Lip Scrub

  • 2 tsp of brown sugar or regular sugar
  • 1/2 tsp honey (just enough to mix with sugar and make a paste)
  • 1 tsp olive oil/coconut oil
  • 1 drop of your favorite essential oil or vanilla (this is optional just to add flavor and smell to the scrub)

Mix all of the ingredients. Once blended, apply the scrub onto your lips, rub it well in circular motions and exfoliate gently to loosen the dead skin. Let it sit for a minute or two, then rinse off with water. Apply your favorite lip balm afterwards.

Brown sugar acts as a natural exfoliator which removes dead cells and reveals the healthier and softer lips. Honey works as a humectant that keeps the lips moisturized after exfoliation!

Store Scrub in a small container or wash and reuse an empty container.

PS- You can use these recipes on your Hands as well!

Although I have a lot of Dry Shampoo around here… #TWINS… here’s some fun recipes for a natural solution to give you some extra days in between! Also this photo makes me want to break out the self tanner….

Green Tea Bath Soak

Let’s be real, our bath tub has toys all around it… but if you can take some time late at night for a bath, it can be super relaxing! (Just be sure to clean the tub afterwards.)

You Will Need:

  • 3 cups Epsom Salt
  • 3 Tbsp Loose Green Tea
  • 4-6 drops of Peppermint Essential Oils (optional)
  • 6-8 drops coconut or almond oil
To get the loose green tea, simply cut open a couple Green Tea bags and mix together with the Salt. Combine all of the ingredients and store in a jar with a lid and store safely away from little ones. Sprinkle in your Bath and Relax… you deserve it!

Have a good week. Soak in some snuggles and some self care too.

What are some things you are doing to relax? Tell me below in the Comments!
